Do you have Azkalitis?

AZKALS BREAKING NEWS:

Now that there are lots of people who are Azkal-holics, doctors confirmed that there is in-fact a new contagiuos epidemic outbreak that millions of people are now diagnosed with called, "AZKALTIS".

What is AZKALITIS?

AZKALITIS is a contagious football-related disease. It is the filipino version of footballitis. the word was coined by Craig Burrows, an Australian football player. Marlon Sumbang describes AZKALITIS as a syndrome which infects thousand of Filipino people to become obsessed with football or football players. The mortality rate may vary through genders; for hardcore men their testosterone levels increased. For women they show signs of increased estrogen level as manifested by rapid heartbeat, cold skin, hyper perspiration, dizziness, fainting, and blank staring to the Neil Etheridge or to the Younghusband siblings or to other charming Azkals. The disease is reportedly pandemic in Southeast Asia since symptoms can also be seen in Indonesian womenAnother symptom of Azkalitis is too much time spent on anything about the  Philippine Azkals or any of it’s players. And if you follow the cute and handsome players aside the Younghusband brothers such as keeper Neil Etheridge, captain Aly Borromeo, defensive bruiser Anton Del Rosario and others on Twitter would also be another symptom.

AN IMPORTANT REMINDER. There is no cure for Azkalitis, once you have the symptoms, it will be with you forever.

So do you have AZKALITIS?

Our Flag Is Still Waving ... even after defeat

Even though our favorite football team, The Philippine Azkals, lost to the higher- seeded Al-Azraq (The Blue) of Kuwait, their journey is still on going. The Azkals' mission was to spread the news about the "Beautiful Game", is a done deal since people caught the epidemic out break of AZKALITIS. The team lost to the FIFA ranked 102 (now 95), while the Azkals ranked 159 (now 162), on an aggregate 5-1. Even after the game lost, the fans still remain loyal to the team. It is rare to see or have fans that would remain loyal to you, even though you are amidst the controversies. The team remains positive with what happened. Their next game would be on late September, in China, for the Long Teng Cup 2011. This Asian Cup started last year, in which Philippines ended up third in a cup for four countries, which are Hong Kong  U-23 (champion), Chinese Taipei (runner-up) and Macau ( 4th place). During this cup, the top goal scorer was Philippine's own Ian Araneta with four goals. this time around the Azkals has the chance to win the cup since they are currently the highest-seeder among the four countries (excluding HK U-23, since they are not ranked, because they are not the national football team of HK) and because of the experiences, conditions and matches that they have went through. And to top it all off, it was confirmed that Stephan Schrock and Neil Etheridge will be available for the Long Teng Cup, since their football clubs has allowed the. So I wish all the best of lucks to the Philippine Football Team, The Philippine Azkals !!!!!

JUST DO IT.

No wonder Nike is the goddess of victory. Just like the athletic wears co., Nike, tells us to "JUST DO IT". The message maybe so short, but it tells us that when we do something, we can make something better. It tells us to strive hard and never give up, so that we may attain our goals. When we sit down or just lay down and stare, we don't do something productive that may help change and renew our world, we can't achieve anything. We shouldn't just wait to get lucky, but to act out now because if we do it later we lose time and chances. We should break our Mañana Habit, the "just later.." attitude we Filipinos have. When you want to do something do it now, don't wait for dawn to finish it. Take a risk and charge your battle. "What if ?", who knew that this two-worded sentence are one of the words that could haunt you for a lifetime. If you don't take risks, there would be nothing that would happen in your life. What if people didn't take risk and easily gave up? Obviously, the society that we are living in would cease to exist. Our world would be totally different, we wouldn't be civilized and progressive. We would still be barbaric. Though I am not telling you not to think, but to also follow your heart and instincts. Life is about risks, experience and making choices, don't be afraid to make mistakes and fall because you have a lifetime to get back up and make things right. BE FEARLESS, TAKE ACTION AND JUST DO IT ... NOW!!!!!

What is being "CRAZY" ?????

Mysteries and Complexity, are some of the things that confuses and attract us. Like people say: " There is a only a thin line, that separates fantasy from reality and sanity from insanity". Remember the times when you  feel or experience out of the world sensations? that at times your just afraid to admit some things, so you deny them, because other people will think of you as crazy. But what is really "crazy"? Crazy is being hypocritical, it is saying things to people and not practicing them in real life. It is when you look at other people and hastily judge them without knowing them personally. At times just because of attitude and habits we easily get tangled into the web of hypocrisy.  I confess, at times I become a hypocrite, oblivious to the things around me. But when we do get caught up in hypocrisy, let's remind ourselves and each other on what we're becoming. Being "crazy" is something that happens to people who are too stressed or from traumatic experiences. It is a fact, stress can fry your brain and make you crazy in a coco loco way. Bad memories especially traumatic and fearful experience, trigger adrenaline in our body. Which triggers the fight or flight survival mechanism of our body, that is why we don't remember how we did some thing or how events happen. People become crazy when they are at their peak or at their extremes. People who are psychologically ill, aren't useless as people make them out to be, they are also human beings that just think and act in a n unusual way. Sometimes they just see and understand things normal people don't, sometimes what people forget is that they may think differently because they have a higher thinking skill than us or that they have deeper wisdom than us. Another thing that people always for get is that some people release stress or tension in their body by getting crazy and just letting their instincts take over them. a fact says that laughing for at least 15 minutes a day, is psychologically healthy for a person, since it releases all the negative energy inside a person. So being "CRAZY" at times is good and sometimes bad. Good because it releases bad energy form your body and maybe you have a higher, deeper wisdom than normal people. Bad because of the hurtful things people say behind your back and also because people will neglect, ostracize or  belittle you. like life their is balance, that is why there is a thin thread that separates sanity from insanity.

IT IS NOT YET OVER!!!

"It is not yet over!!!" says optimistic Azkals' fans. We Azkals fans, keep on cheering and supporting for our beloved football team, The Philippine Azkals. Yesterday (July 23,Sunday, 12 am  ) the team bowed down to Kuwait's Al - azraq (The Blue) football team. The game was held in Kuwait, but  more or less  5,000 OFW's filled the stadium to support for the Azkals. The team lost the first leg of the home-and-away series 3-0.   The players which are asset to the teams defense were skipper and team captain Aly Borromeo were suspended, together with Fil.- German defender, Stephan Schrock, due to the 3 yellow card accumulated by the two during their game with Sri Lanka's Red Braves. While, Borromeo was out, co-captain Chieffy Caligdong assumed the role of  captaincy. Though the team lost their fans still came to NAIA to welcome back their idols. On July 28, 2011 5:30, the teams would once again face each other in the match that would determine their football fate. The Azkals would need a score of 4-0 to qualify for the third round, 4-1 would crown Al-azraq champs while a 3-0 will only send the game into  extra time, since the game is aggregate. So for now, all Azkal-holics could do is pray and wish our favorite team the best of luck, and that God may have mercy on our country and He will help the Azkals make history, again.

What The NEW YORK?!?!?!?!

It's official the universe is going crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why in the world will you allow this people, oh wait this is in America the so called "Land of the Free"? Same sex marriages as billions and billions of people know is against the Bible and against various religions, not just Catholics. It might be fine to have a partner, if your gay, but why do you need to have marriage, it is not "normal" to marry people whom you have the same gender with ? And not only that but let me repeat it time and time again IT IS A SIN? (NO OFFESE TO LGBTs) All I can say for myself, a semi-traditionalist, is that: "THE WORLD IS FEARLESS... IN A WAY THAT THEY WOULD ONE DAY REGRET. GOOD LUCK TO THE WORLD"

R.I.P. AMY WINEHOUSE

.
Last night, British singer Amy Winehouse died at the young age of 27. She is most known for the hit "Rehab". Her songs speak mostly about her struggle against her drug and drinking problems. What a waste that she died, her songs were somewhat called inspirational. they speak of the weaknesses we must face and overcome. Some people may call her "crazy", but who isn't crazy in this world?

Breaking Through The Masquerade Mask !!!

Stop!!! Stop hiding underneath the "Masquerade Mask".Strip it off !!! Show your real self, not the impostor people think you are. Masquerade masks maybe beautiful and mysterious, but they are also deceiving and dangerous. Masks hides the vulnerability of a person, not showing the softness, gentleness and goodness the heart is capable of. It might represent invulnerability  and strength, but what people forget is that there is strength in vulnerability. "Why?", you may ask. It is because without the mask you show the truth and acceptance. A real person who is strong, is courageous enough to admit he/she is flawed and imperfect. He/she accepts the truth of reality, which may not always be beautiful, but he/she accepts it, because he/she knows he/she has power and strength to rise up to the challenge life is giving him/her and change his/her destiny. With truth, our lives become easier, we become better persons and so do the people around us, thus, we make the world a better place to live in.

Is CA. too Risque?

There is nothing wrong with taking risks, but is it still alright when it's too much? The state of California is always the first state to produce "unusual bills" and they are proud of it. Bills, that are against some religious beliefs. It was a risque move when they made a law that religion shouldn't be taught in school. Fine, that's their choice, since america is a free country and it would be unfair for those who have doubts in their faith to participate in religion class. Same- sex marriage. NO OFFENSE TO GAYS. For me, it's okay to be gay but I just don't believe that two people with the same gender to wed. Call me close- minded, but, I still believe in what is taught to me by my faith. Gays could be together in a relationship, but matrimony is too much. Now, they are planning to teach " History of Gay and Lesbianism". That would just create bigger problems to teens in their vulnerable years. teens already have identity crisis without that subject, now your adding another problem for them to handle. So, please let this subject if ever put in to academic subjects be classified as an elective or an optional course. No wonder Rick Riordan place the location of the Underworld in Los Angeles, C.A, even though it's called the City of Angels. (Again no offense, just my own opinion)

Philippines, a favor don't follow C.A. ... or I'll really be ashamed of being a Filipino!

Demi Lovato's Back!!!

Ever since last October 2010, Demi Lovato faded in the Hollywood showbiz spotlight. Lovato, who was touring with close friends the Jonas Brothers (Joe and Demi recently broke- up before the tour), when rumors speculated that she will drop out of the tour. After that rumor another rumor was going around saying the actress/singer was in rehab because of emotional and mental problems. Now after almost nine months, Lovato makes her comeback with her new single "Skyscraper". This might be the biggest comeback for this year. Skyscraper is an inspirational song, that speaks to listeners about survival. It says that when your being torn down by people around you, don't loose self- confidence, rise like a "skyscraper". In my opinion, this is Demi Lovato's best work ... yet to date.

PRICE TAG: A Life Anthem

This song is not only catchy but it also reminds us that we're all the same and equal and that money could not buy everything in the world. This is totally a song worth listening.

"WARRIORS: Fearless Shadow Fighters"

For me, a warrior is like a shadow person mysterious, dark, strong and humble. Warriors are hardworking but usually neglected. People forget that warriors are honorable not only because of their sacrifices, but also because of industriousness. They are strictly disciplined, meticulous, self-less, precise and wise. Their wisdom and knowledge may at times be unconventional, but they are useful in the end. Warriors don't only fight for victory, but they also fight for self- control and honor. Warriors are either born or made, but all warriors never lack courage, passion and will. Warriors are FEARLESS FIGHTERS.

Are you one?

"Wisdom"

My view on WISDOM:

"All human beings are smart, but not all of them are intelligent enough to be wise."

"Balancing Act"

Our universe has evolved after long periods of time, and yes not years but millenniums. From simple and personalized rock carvings to high-tech gadgets. From manual labor to robots doing work for humans. But, there are still gazillions of questions and mysteries just waiting to be answered. Balance. Balance is what we need to understand the complexity of our universe today. As people say having too much or being insufficient is dangerous. Why do you think for each saying or quotation there is always a counter - saying to it. Life is all about balance. Life is like poker, you must know when to make your move and take a risk. You might not always win, but at times you'll get lucky. But you'll never win if you don't take risks. As one person said: " You'll never know if  you made a right choice or a mistake, if you never took the chance to make it happen.

AZKALS !!!

The Philippine Azkals

"Askal" or "Azkal", a Fil. street term meaning half breeded, half street dog.

The used-to-be neglected and ignored Philippine football team is becoming one of the most supported and famous sports personalities in the Philippines.

Peole ask "why?" football mania is just starting in the Philippines, is it because of the magically addicting charm of the "beautiful game", or is it the great looking "Azkaleros"? As a self-confessed " azkal-holic" and a typical teenager, I can't deny that one of the reasons millions of girls are watching their games is because of their boyish charms (mostly, because they are half- Fil. And half- foreigner). (though I must confessed I already started appreciating football because of my father wathching The European Premiere League and reading books about football/soccer)
One of the reasons I idolize this team is their passion for the game and their willingness to share it with others. They are also vocal of their Fil. pride, choosing to play for the Phils. instead of their "other" country. Now their hardwork and passion has paid off as they made Filipino history for qualifying in the
FIFA World Cup Qulifiers.

CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!!!!!!!!
