Journalism is one of the subjects I actually enjoy. At, times I don't know even know why, but I just do. And Mr. Gerano, if you are reading this I am not just saying this for compliment. I like journalism this year because my interest in current events, at last there is a subject on being updated and how a person actually uses common sense and street-smart. I like Journalism since I have a reason/ excuse for me to watch television and use the computer. I like Journalism because we get to get out of the classroom, usually esp. this second quarter. In Journalism I actually Learn! I learn things that interests me, unlike some certain subjects I am not a very big fan of since it's confusing. Journ. is actually fun.
During the first day of our Journalism class I saw most of my classmates with nervous looks in their faces. When I asked someone, "why are you like this?". Their reply, "Our teacher, Mr. Gerano, is said to be super strict, especially with pronunciation and grammar" (of course, the conversation was in Hiligaynon). Then when our teacher entered the room everyone was so quiet and nervous. Then after a few meetings (around 3-4 meetings) people seemed to be at ease already. Though, honestly there are still some people who are a bit scared of our teacher. In my opinion our teacher is actually just right. He does this to discipline us, to ready us for our future. He does this for our own good, not just for the fun of it, though at times he likes to exaggerate things. He likes things to be systematic and organized. He is tough, critical and intense. And most of all a perfectionist. I know his being like this to us so that we may improve in our ways. Because of him our class has improved, but only in Journ. ... I think :). We have become more alert in class and now everyone sits straight during his class. So thank you, sir for everything!
The perfect way to end this entry is with the best reason of all why I like LOVE Journalism Class is because without Journ. I wouldn't be blogging at this moment. I wouldn't have an online diary/ journal. A place where I get to share my feelings with strangers. Without Journ. I wouldn't have blogging as a hobby.
